What I collect

This site shows ads via Google AdSense. If you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, ads only load after you accept cookies, and if you decline, no ad cookies are set. Your choice is stored in a cookie so you are only asked once. Elsewhere, ads load without a prompt, and you can still opt out through Google's ad settings. Your approximate region is read from Cloudflare to decide this, and a short-lived cookie remembers the result for an hour.

Page views and basic analytics are tracked with a self-hosted Rybbit instance at analytics.xahidex.com. It does not use advertising cookies.

The guestbook

If you sign in to leave a guestbook message, your name and avatar are stored via your OAuth provider (Google or GitHub). Only your public profile information is used. I do not store passwords. You can ask me to delete your entry at any time by emailing me@xahidex.com.

Contact form

Messages sent through the contact form are emailed to me and also saved in my database, so a failed email cannot lose your message. Your name, email address, message and approximate country are used only to reply to you. Email me@xahidex.com and I will delete your message on request.

Third-party services

This site embeds data from ListenBrainz, Audiobookshelf, Trakt, Hardcover, Lichess, and Dawarich. These services have their own privacy policies. No data from those services is stored on this site.

Your rights

You can decline ad cookies at any time by clearing the cookie-consent cookie (or site data) for xahidex.com and reloading, or by contacting me directly. If you have signed in to the guestbook and want your data removed, email me@xahidex.com and I will delete it promptly.
