About
Builder at heart, grower by trade.
I'm Jahidul Islam. Online I go by xahidex. 👋 I’m Jahidul Islam (জাহিদুল ইসলাম) — but most people online know me as XahidEx. I like simplifying complex ideas, whether that’s in digital marketing, SEO, or explaining tech to friends over coffee.
My day job is Marketing Manager at Somerset Clinic, where I bridge the gap between technical development and strategic marketing.
I grew up in Feni, Bangladesh, where I worked on local companies and projects before moving abroad. In 2023, I relocated to Dubai, and it’s been an exciting journey blending multicultural insight with global marketing strategy.
I started doing web work for local businesses in Bangladesh, mostly building and ranking sites for them. That taught me that a site no one finds is just an expensive brochure.
Moving abroad pushed me to get more technical. Now I do both: build the thing, then make sure people find it.
How I work
I work end-to-end: architecture, development, SEO, analytics, and distribution. I do not hand off at the “design done” stage or the “shipped” stage. The whole system is the product.
AI tools are part of my workflow, but system design and decisions stay with me. I use them to move faster on things that are already well understood, not to replace the thinking.
I care about the small things: a URL that will not break in two years, a page that loads in under two seconds, a copy line that sounds like a human wrote it. Precision is not perfectionism. It is just respect for the people using the thing.
Most products fail at distribution, not at building. Getting good at both in the same person is rare. That is the combination I am trying to build.

Outside work
Photography is a regular hobby. I shoot on an iPhone 14 Pro, which forces me to work with available light and composition rather than hiding behind gear. The results live at jahidshots.com.
Combat sports take up a fair amount of my attention. I watch boxing and MMA closely and rarely miss a UFC event. I also play chess, at a level I would rather not describe in writing.
Right now I am tinkering with AI agents and building a few experimental products. The ones worth talking about will show up here eventually.
Fujifilm and Leica make cameras with more character than anything else on the market. I do not own either. The iPhone is always with me, which means I actually take photos instead of leaving the camera at home.
